독일에서 활동 중인 사진작가 김인숙은 일상적인 공간에서 현대인들이 겪게 되는 인간의 본능적 감성과 외로움 등을 소재로 작업하고 있다. 묘하고 비밀스러운 표정을 가진 여성들, 근대 건축물의 호텔 파사드를 배경으로 보여주는 인간 본연의 모습, 남성의 욕망의 대상으로 세워진 여성 등을 통해 작가는 육체와 젊음, 아름다움, 예술 그 자체 상품화의 비판을 보여준다. 제 1회 일우 사진상 수상 기념으로 제작된 이 사진집은 존재와 죽음의 공존, 웃음과 혐오, 놀람과 공포와 같은 극단적인 인간의 감정들을 자극한 작품들을 담았으며, 작가의 섬세하고 감각적인 작품을 볼 수 있다.
